Kling 2.5 Turbo on Flovaly: What Changed
Kling 2.5 Turbo was Flovaly's fal-routed image-to-video default for a period. It's since been replaced by Kling 3.0 — here's what changed and what to use instead.
· 4 min read
Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro is no longer offered on Flovaly. It was, for a period, the fal-routed image-to-video default — praised here for animating a still image faithfully at a fast, mid-cost tier — but it has since been replaced in the model picker by Kling 3.0, with Seedance 2.0 Pro as the current default for both text- and image-to-video.
What was Kling 2.5 Turbo?
Kling is Kuaishou's family of video generation models, widely known for convincing, physical motion. The 2.5 Turbo Pro tier was the throughput-focused member of that family, and Flovaly routed it through fal's accelerated infrastructure rather than the direct Kling API — a faster route that, at the time, earned it a lasting slot in the video picker as an image-to-video specialist: give it a start image and a motion prompt, and it rendered a clip that stayed faithful to that exact frame.
Why it was retired
Flovaly's video model lineup moves as newer, better-value options become available through fal. Kling 3.0 succeeded the 2.5 Turbo Pro tier as the fal-routed Kling option — same family, current generation — and Seedance 2.0 Pro took over as the default for both prompt-only and image-led generation. Rather than leave two Kling tiers side by side in the picker, the older one was retired.
What to use instead
- Kling 3.0 — the direct successor for character-faithful, image-led animation: punchy motion, current pricing on the model picker.
- Seedance 2.0 Pro — Flovaly's default for UGC-realistic, person-filmed texture, from a prompt or a start image.
- Veo 3.1 Fast — Google's model, image-to-video with generated audio and cinematic camera moves.
- Sora 2 Pro — cinematic and premium, but text-to-video only.
For live, per-model credit costs, check the model picker in the Studio composer — it always shows the current credit count next to the Run button before you commit — or see Flovaly's current video model lineup for a full comparison.
Still building a character-led pipeline?
The workflow that made Kling 2.5 Turbo useful — animating a generated actor still while keeping the face recognisably the same person — is unchanged, just handled by Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 Pro now. Start with Creating an actor, then pick whichever current model in the composer fits your brief: Kling 3.0 for tighter fidelity to your source frame, Seedance 2.0 Pro for UGC-realistic motion.
FAQ

Why was Kling 2.5 Turbo retired?
Kling 3.0 succeeded it as the fal-routed Kling option — same model family, current generation — so Flovaly retired the older tier rather than run two Kling versions side by side in the picker.
What replaced Kling 2.5 Turbo for character-faithful animation?
Kling 3.0 is the direct successor for image-led, character-faithful animation. Seedance 2.0 Pro is the default pick for UGC-realistic motion from a prompt or a start image.
